Yesterday, by chance, Harrington met local angling hero Graham Heaney on the banks of the Tyne (he has caught over 1200 salmon). She was lucky enough to meet him again tonight (they were on opposite sides of the river – he waved). They chatted in length about salmon, nature and the river whilst he cast a line.  What an evening. “One of the most interesting aspects of the salmon is how unpredictable they are”...
